Have you ever heard of someone finally achieving something extraordinary, as if they had dreamt about it first? Ever wondered why some people live out their dreams and others don’t?

Here’s why: ‘Follow your dreams’ is not just a saying, it’s an actual practice.

There are no magic potions out there that suddenly make your dreams come to life and as much as we want to think things will just happen for us, they usually don’t. We are the only ones who can make our dreams come true and there is a lot of work involved to reach the highest of heights.

A lot of people ask me, “How do you travel so often and for such a long time?”

Well, the answer is simple: I work very hard for my travel adventures!

My dreams are not only big, but most of the time hard to make a reality. There have been countless times my dreams continued to remain only dreams and did not come true, even to this day. I’ve always dreamed of becoming a travel writer, but I’m not really a travel writer yet. Yes, I am still aspiring to become one, but it is still only a dream. I’ve always wanted to work for myself but time and time again, I end up working for someone else because I am just not quite ready or able to make a living with my own business. Frankly, I’m ok with that. I’m still working towards my dream even if it takes a lifetime.

Are you a dreamer like me? Why not follow those dreams?

Here are some of the everyday practices you can use to create a dream-like reality that is more attainable than you may think.

Patience– They say, patience is a virtue. And, whoever they are, they’re right!

Not everything will happen overnight (unless you’re dreaming of course), but if you are patient the universe will eventually align with your dreams. If you’re following the right path to achieve the very things you want most in life, why wouldn’t you ultimately arrive at your dream destination?

Hope– Never lose hope. Sometimes this can be a difficult thing to hang on to, especially if things are not going your way. But, if you remain hopeful and optimistic anything is possible. Perseverance is the only way to move forward with your hopes and dreams. I mean really, they kind of go hand in hand.

Connections– Reaching out to others is so incredibly important and with the right people in your life, you can always count on the help your loved ones are willing to give you. If your friends and family truly love you, they will stop at nothing to guide you in the right direction and help you in any way they can. Negative and toxic people will only drag you down. Eliminating those types of energies from your life will push you forward and give you the tools you need to pursue those dreams of yours.

Passion/Love– “Do what you love and love what you do”- Ray Bradbury.

Even if you end up in a situation which is not quite what you had hoped for, let your passions drive you. Passion and love are two of the same things and keeping those emotions in your heart will only make you stronger. Every step you take with the passion and love will pull you closer and closer to your dreams. Live for each moment as if it were that part of your dream that makes absolutely no sense. After all, dreams are interpretations of our subconscious and they usually have hidden meaning.

As Robin S. Sharma would say: “There are no mistakes in life, only lessons.
Learn to follow your dreams and one day they will soon be your reality. All it takes is a little practice.
